Game Description:
The Battle of Marston Moor took place on 2 July 1644 between the Royalist forces and Parliament forces (supported by a Scottish army). Despite initial success (all 3 Parliamentary commanders fled the field thinking the battle was lost) the Royalist forces were eventually defeated by Oliver Cromwell’s cavalry wing and were forced to concede the North of England to Parliament.
Southern Wargamers will recreate this battle using aver 1400 28mm figures!
Each unit nominally represents a Regiment and all 20 major Leaders in action on the field of battle are portrayed individually.
8 Members of Southern Wargamers will be running the demonstration.
